![20080920d - The Great Wall at Simatai w/ Debbie & Anna : Trip #3 to the Great Wall at Simatai. Weather was hot. View was gorgeous. After several times now, I have a very efficient plan of attack to leave Beijing, hike the Wall for several hours, and return home... all within a matter of 10 hours (6 hours of travel alone). It's quite a day, but is a weeks worth of adventure packed into a small space... lots of fun. We even managed to be on a bus that broke down, leaving us (all) stranded and hoping for another [fast] bus to come around with empty seats. 080920 - The Great Wall at Simatai, with Debbie
A day-trip to the Great Wall with friends Debbie and Anna, visiting from Michigan. 3 hours each way, with about 4 hours at the wall... and a broken-down bus on the return trip, we were exhausted after an exhilarating day. Good times!
